Today: Top 10 best luxury resorts & hotels in French Polynesia

The unspoiled coral reefs, islands and lagoons that make up French Polynesia are a mythical destination, having remained virtually unchanged since 18th-century sailors first reported sightings of these stunning islets. Located in the Pacific Ocean, the archipelago’s iconic islands of Tahiti, Moorea and Bora Bora are spectacularly beautiful. Thick with coconut forests and colorful villages, these island feature jagged green peaks that cascade down to miles of fine, white sandy beaches and crystal clear, turquoise water as far as the eye can see. No wonder that discerning travelers are flocking to these islands and that some of the most stunning hotels in the world are located here. Here’s my selection of the 10 best luxury hotels & resorts in French Polynesia, all but three of them located in Bora Bora.
