Review: easyJet A320 from Brussels to Nice

Wednesday newsletters always feature a hotel or flight review.

Last month, I enjoyed a short break in France, where I stayed at some iconic hotels (French Riviera + Paris). You can read my reviews here:

Today: Review – easyJet A320 from Brussels to Nice

My flight from Brussels to Nice was operated by easyJet. I’ve flown easyJet on numerous occasions in the past (within Europe), and I’ve never encountered any problems with the airline. IMHO, easyJet is one of the better low-cost carriers: you get what you pay for, the staff is friendly, and the airline does the job in getting you from A to B. I would normally not have made a trip report of this flight, but since my blog is followed by many aviation geeks and since I haven’t resumed longhaul flights yet (because of the ongoing pandemic), I decided to take my camera with me.

easyJet was founded in 1995 by Greek-Cypriot entrepreneur Stelios Haji-Ioannou. More than 25 years later, it has become Europe’s second largest low-cost airline (behind Rynair), having grown through a combination of acquisitions and base openings. The carrier’s popularity is fuelled by consumer demand for low-cost air travel and was boosted by the television show ‘Airline’, an  ITV documentary showing travelers behind-the-scenes footage of daily life at the budget carrier. Headquartered in London Luton Airport, easyJet operates domestic and international scheduled services on over 1,000 routes in more than 30 countries, with a fleet of more than 300 Airbus A320 family aircraft.

Have you ever flown with easyJet? If so, what was your experience? Leave a comment.

ONBOARD SERVICE
easyJet is known as no-frills airlines, offering low fares by eliminating all unnecessary services. Snacks & drinks can be purchased onboard, but nothing is offered on a complimentary basis.

VIEWS

The only great thing about this otherwise unmemorable flight were the views of French Riviera’s spectacular coastline at sunset (which are shown in my YouTube video, starting at 10’58”).

  1. We used easy jet once. It was quick and easy while quite cheap. We were seated in and exit row but moved due to a prosthetic leg and replaced with a woman who weighed at least 300 pound who could not get out of the seat quickly if her life depended on it. We on the other hand have no problem in quick movement.
