Today (September 23, 2016): Travel Tip: the cheapest way of booking luxury hotels.
I have previously written about my 4 preferred websites to book luxury hotels, but there is a new kid on the block that looks like it will be a game changer when it comes to booking luxury hotels. Club1Hotels is a private Global Luxury Hotel Club and one of the cheapest way to book 4, 4.5 and 5-star hotels in more than 160 countries.
Most hotel booking sites (Expedia, Kayak, Trivago etc) take a cut of the rate that you pay for your stay. Club1Hotels offers you wholesale rates with NO mark up. They instead make their cut with their annual membership fee. Additionally, members enjoy reservation flexibility and may cancel their reservations up to 48-hours prior to arrival without a fee, personalized concierge services, and access to more than 900 airport clubs and VIP lounges in more than 300 cities worldwide.
Some of the current Club1Hotels partnerships include Four Seasons, Ritz Carlton, Mandarin Oriental, Sofitel, Waldorf Astoria, Shangri-La, InterContinental, Peninsula, St. Regis and Park Hyatt.
For a limited time Club1Hotels are giving The Luxury Travel Expert readers a FREE one year Beta Explorer Membership worth $675/£510. Join for free here (you can register from any country in the world).
I have looked into the amazing savings that can be made and here are just a couple of examples:
- Take a 5 night stay in New York. The Andaz 5th Avenue from 15-20th October 16 (5 nights) comes in at $2434.45 on Club1Hotels. The cheapest I can find on Trivago is $3,353 so you will see a saving of almost $1000 from this 5-night booking with Club1Hotels.
- How about in London? Five nights (10-15 Nov) at London’s Shangri-La Hotel, The Shard comes in at $2212 (£1,696) on Club1Hotels. The same five nights on Trivago is £2,275. Club1Hotels is almost £600 cheaper than Trivago.
Clearly the savings depend on the hotel, but Club1Hotels is well worth joining while they are in Beta and you can snag yourself a 1-year membership for free. Join Club1Hotels for free now
Enjoy the weekend and stay tuned for Monday when I reveal a new top 10 travel list.
